NASCAR Drivers Are Changing Rides, What Do You Do?

As I was watching the practice and qualifying runs today on Speed Channel, I began looking at the bigger name drivers who will be changing rides next year. As well as those who are in new rides this year. My driver (I will keep his name to myself) changed last year to a new team, new number, and a new sponsor.
I found myself with lots of memorabilia and apparel that didn't go with the driver I rooted for anymore. In my case, the driver went to a new team, his old sponsor went to a different team (and a different manufacturer), and his number went to a new driver. So, I had to ask myself if I wanted to keep any of that apparel, die cast, hats, visors, posters (yes I still buy posters), pens, and other memorabilia I had collected over the years. It was a tough decision, but I opted to keep a few things, and start a new collection with the new sponsor and number for my driver.
So, with big names like Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, and others moving at the end of this season. And names like Dale Jr., and Kyle Busch changing last year, what do the fans do? I think most stay with their drivers and, in turn, must recollect new apparel and memorabilia.

NASCAR Collecting – Why do you collect NASCAR Stuff?
Posted by: Driver | Comments (0)I always seem to get the question "why do you collect Nascar stuff?" and "what makes Nascar collecting so unique?".
So today I am going to answer just that question!
Nascar collecting is something more than just having a bunch of race cars around your room or house, it's about enjoying what you have and respecting it for what it is. Nascar diecast and other Nascar branded items are usually quite expensive. So as you might think it takes quite a lot of dedication to grow and expand ones collection to the size of their choice.

Nascar items range from just five dollars up to hundreds depending on the item and the rarity.
So what makes Nascar collecting so unique is the fact that you get what you pay for. Every Nascar item that I have purchased has been very sturdy and to the utmost quality that I would ever expect.
Nascar memorabilia is very rare in most cases with limited quantities of one item ever being made. This offers each collector the opportunity to own something unique just to themselves and to enjoy the satisfaction that only so many people have the same piece.
The uniqueness outshines any other sports collecting in my opinion because unlike baseball cards and such you can actually build or buy a nice glass cabinet and display your diecast and show it off to guests unlike with baseball cards and such where they would fade and loose value.

It is always special to have a Nascar stock car replica piece, and as years go on they are getting more and more detailed in ways such as actual moving parts, removable chassis and such.
The variety of memorabilia is always changing with new drivers and new areas to be explored such as diecast, clothing, stickers, children's toys and so on. This is what makes Nascar collecting so unique, the fact that we can enjoy our collection without jeopardizing its value and at the same time have fun with our favorite sport!
